HERFIELD
Playbook
A coach-first app for grassroots girls' football. Plan. Develop. Protect.
What is HERFIELD Playbook?
HERFIELD Playbook is a coach-first digital tool built specifically for grassroots girls' football. It helps coaches plan sessions, set individual player challenges, organise matchday rotations, mark attendance, complete team readiness checks and prepare parent updates — all in one simple place.
HERFIELD Playbook is built and ready to use. It is designed to support coaches, not replace them. HERFIELD Playbook gives coaches a structured starting point, but every coaching decision remains with the coach.
Who is it for?
HERFIELD Playbook is built for grassroots coaches working with girls' football teams — from U7s through to U15s and beyond. Whether you are a head coach, an assistant, or a club volunteer managing multiple responsibilities, the Playbook is designed to reduce admin and keep the focus on the players.
It's coach-led: there are no player accounts and no in-app messaging. Parents can be invited to a private portal that shows them only their own child's progress.
Why girls' football needs better coach tools?
Grassroots girls' football is growing rapidly, but the tools available to coaches have not kept pace. Most coaching apps are built for elite or mixed football, not for the specific challenges of managing a girls' team — from encouraging confidence and individual development to navigating safeguarding requirements.
HERFIELD Playbook exists to give girls' football coaches a purpose-built tool that respects the unique nature of coaching in this environment.
Safeguarding
HERFIELD Playbook is coach-led, with an optional parent portal limited to a parent's own child. Players should be recorded by first name only. No child contact details, addresses, medical information or sensitive personal data should be entered.
The app supports good coaching organisation and safe team preparation — it does not replace club safeguarding policies, league requirements or official FA/County FA guidance.
